A while after Jake and I met, we were talking on the phone, and the conversation was something like this:
Me: "What kind of old person do you want to be?"
Jake: "I want to be the grumpy old man that everyone is afraid of."
Me: "So you want to scare children? You want to be the scary old shut in?"
Jake: "Yes. I want to yell at kids to stay off my lawn and be grumpy. And my wife will be a crazy old cat lady."
Me: "... a crazy old cat lady??"
Jake: "Yeah, that is the perfect type of wife for a grumpy old man."
Me: "I have a cat..."
Be careful what you wish for Jake...

DeleteOkay, first. I have never thought of the question, "what kind of old person do you want to be?" Second. I can actually kinda see the "old, grumpy man" coming out in Jake with that picture. Bwahaha! I liked that conversation. I can only imagine your pillow talk...
